Present Perfect Tense

Rules:

  • Always use 3rd form of the verb.
  • If the verb “walk” is used you will use “walked”
  • It the verb “eat” is used you will use “eaten”
  • We have done our breakfast.
  • The rain has stopped.
  • Helping verbs of present perfect tense are (has , have)
  • If (he, she, it or singular noun) is used as the subject in a sentence we wil use “has” as the helping verb.
  • If (I, we, you, they or plural noun) is used in the sentence we will use “have” as the helping verb.
  • In negative sentences not is used after the helping verb.
  • (has not, have not)
  • I have not broken the glass.
  • Ali has not polished his shoes.
  • In interrogative sentences helping verb is used in start of the sentence.
  • Have you come here before?
  • Has she washed the clothes?
